Ry'z Chicken and Pork Chops

I know my weekend rewind is a little late. This week I have been fighting terrible sinus headaches, so I’m just now getting to this. Last Saturday, we participated in the Strike Out for Juvenile Diabetes Softball Tournament in St. Joseph. Over the past year, I have had two people I deeply care about diagnosed with diabetes. We raised $1800.00 towards finding a cure!! Plus, we had a blast. I’m not an athletic person at all but I gave it my all. Our team was called Ry’z Chicken and Pork Chops and was “coached” by the ever talented Parrish. With Parrish’s coaching and our wonderful team, we ended the day with a second place finish!!

Over the next month, I will participating in two charity walks to raise awareness to causes very important to me. On September 11th, I will be walking at the Remembrance Walk at Loose Park. This walk is for those who have lost someone to suicide.  All proceeds donated go for suicide awareness, education, prevention, and survivor support. Please go to http://www.sass-mokan.com/Sass-walk/ for information. On October 1st, I will participate in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Legends. For more information, please go to  http://www.2.jdrf.org/

Here is my weekend rewind!

Jennifer won the first game ball! I won't tell you that she won because she fell face first running to home! But, she got up and still score!! Go Jennifer!!

Of course, I took a lot of detail shots!

Hope you have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend!!!
