Making Dreams Come True

Life became extremely hard for my family after we lost my brother Jason. It made us realize you can't take anything for granted especially time. The many nights I couldn't sleep, my husband would stay up with me. Our conversations were always the same. We would talk about our life together, our regrets, and our dreams. Our dreams are the same dreams we had when we first met; we just never acted upon them. But December 2010 was an eye opener for us; you never know when your time here on earth will be over. Life can change in a matter of seconds. I have seen my dad go through a life changing disability, my mom's battle with chronic illnesses, to the untimely death of my brother. You have to make each moment count and that was something my husband and I weren’t doing.

This past spring we decided to make changes in our lives and started making some of our dreams come true.  My dream has been photography. I'm now taking the plunge to start my own photography business with Chris right by my side. My husband has always wanted to go back to school to become a teacher. Today, he is making his dream come true. Chris is starting graduate school to become an elementary school teacher! I couldn’t be more proud of him. Chris has always been there for me, our kids, and my family. Chris has always made sure I had everything, now it's my turn to give something back.

Chris, I'm so proud of you! You are a wonderful husband and father to our two kiddos, and I know you are going to be a wonderful teacher!! Good luck on your first day!!

Happy Monday!!
