Last year at the beginning of the season, they were called
the underdogs and my husband would disagree with them. He saw something in these
seven boys that no one else did. Each week they would develop their skills and
come together as a team. The underdogs made it to the final four and other
coaches realized what a team they had become. The beginning of this year’s
season, there was a different feeling in the air. The feeling was confidence!
The boys and the coaches worked their butts off and it paid off. First, it was
a successful season with only one lost. Second, they won the League’s
Championship game. Third, they are the CITY CHAMPIONS!! That’s right, the team
from a year ago (plus a few new players) won the City Championship game!!! The
Beasts, I speak on the behalf of all the parents, we are so proud of you!!
Still riding the high from the game, we had my nephew’s
birthday party to go to. It was a great way to end the weekend.
